Data Privacy and Class Action Litigation Associate Responsibilities: Assist with a defense of privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions filed in state and federal courts nationwide. Incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents. Analysis of state, federal, and international privacy laws. Drafting legal notices of a data breach to individuals and regulators. Responding to regulatory investigations arising out of a data breach. Defending privacy lawsuits. Drafting privacy and security policies and procedures pursuant to HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, and other statutes.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: Admitted to practice in the state of Washington. Licensed attorney with 5+ years of legal experience in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice. Basic knowledge of state and federal privacy laws required (including HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, GDPRA). Must have excellent research skills (using Lexis and Westlaw). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills (brief writing). Technology or IT security background a plus. Class action experience is a plus.
