Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Glendale, CA, is seeking an experienced Patent Agent or Technical Advisor to join its Intellectual Property team. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities, from drafting and prosecuting patent applications to providing strategic counsel on IP management and prior art analysis. Duties:

• Draft and manage the prosecution of patent applications filed with the USPTO and foreign patent offices.
• Provide technical advice to attorneys, assisting clients in documenting inventions.
• Offer counsel on comprehensive intellectual property strategies.
• Conduct prior art searches and analyses.
• Support IP portfolio management.
• Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
• Potentially oversee or assist with foreign patent applications.

Requirements:

• Registration to practice before the USPTO (preferred).
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.

Certifications:

• USPTO registration is a plus.
