Paralegals Responsibilities: Provide expert paralegal and administrative support with minimal supervision; demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and handle various legal tasks with strong attention to detail. Prepare and maintain corporate records including formation documents, state filings, and transactional documents. Prepare, review, and edit a variety of legal documents. Prepare and file annual reports, EINs, and UCC financing statements, among others, in a variety of states. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of templates and SOPs. Coordinate attorney schedules and activities. Ensure documentation is properly filed electronically and physically. Create and implement training for the administrative staff, including legal assistants and paralegals, with particular attention to Word proofing, editing and formatting. Conduct legal research using Westlaw and cite checking. Provide high level administrative support to attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to preparing, maintaining and organizing legal records and documents, creating standardized forms, work flows and improving processes.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelorâ€™s degree preferred. Paralegal education or experience preferred. Experience working with Excise and Licensing, Zoning or comparable regulatory agencies preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with clients, the public and individuals at all levels of the organization in a positive, collaborative manner. Exceptional organization skills, strong self-motivator with high attention to detail. Excellent time and deadline management skills in fast paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and reprioritize quickly and efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills including familiarity with common legal terminology. Must be able to uphold highest standards of discretion and confidentiality and exercise good judgment on day-to-day decisions. Knowledge of Word, specifically in the areas of formatting and template creation. Preferred: Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Net Documents, and Clio.
