Paralegal The candidate will work under the direction of in-house counsel and with one peer to accept service of legal documents on behalf of the organization, analyze legal requests (e.g., subpoenas), and coordinate the collection and production of responsive information to the same. Will comply with and apply all applicable laws and regulations when evaluating and responding to legal documents. Minimize risk to the organization through proper handling of all legal process. Significant computer and phone use, sitting, and reviewing electronic and paper documents. Bachelor's degree or demonstrated progressive work history showing ability to master complex new tasks; Paralegal certification is desired. Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing legal process and banking, including privacy obligation is needed. Knowledge and use of First National systems; awareness of First National business operation is essential. Occasional lifting of 40 lbs. Familiarity with various types of legal process and proper methods of service is needed. Ability to read and understand legal documents served on the organization is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are needed.
