Atlanta office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks data strategy, security and privacy associate attorney with 3-4 years of legal experience focused on data strategy counseling and privacy compliance. The candidate should have a strong interest in the intersection of law and data-involved products and services to join the team in advising clients on: the development of enterprise privacy programs; evaluating the operational impact of existing and newly-enacted privacy laws; drafting consumer disclosures and internal policy documents related to privacy and data use; and assessing the privacy and security risks in product design, operational use cases, and business partnerships. Must have a background in a related field (such as marketing or intellectual property) who are looking to focus full time on technology, privacy, and security are encouraged to apply. Must have Admission to State Bar. Must have experience providing legal advice on privacy and/or data strategy issues, which can come in the form of advisory experience, transactional work, or litigation experience. Should have interest in privacy compliance, including familiarity with the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, as well as other important federal, state and foreign privacy laws and industry practices. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to draft materials in business-friendly language. Technology experience or skills helpful (e.g., technical degree or experience, software development, employment at/advising tech companies as an attorney or prior to law school). CIPP/US certification preferred.
