Labor & Employment Counsel
The candidate will provide legal advice and support to Legal Department, management and Human Resources on a broad range of employment issues such as policies and procedures, recruiting; hiring; employee relations; discipline and terminations; internal investigations; leaves of absence; wage and hour compliance; benefits, EEO compliance; restrictive covenants; labor law issues and contingent worker issues. Draft and edit employment-related documents and processes. Manage and/or provide support on pre-litigation and litigation matters relating to the above substantive legal areas. Manage and/or provide support on pre-litigation and litigation matters relating to the above substantive legal areas. Advise on employee health and safety issues, OSHA compliance and related issues. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, Law degree from accredited law school required. Admission to a state bar (In house admission to NJ bar will be required), 3-5+ years’ of employment law experience, Experience with counseling on, or litigation related to, federal and state employment laws and regulations (including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII etc.), Labor Law and OSHA experience a plus. Extensive knowledge of legal regulations and practices for assigned subject areas and business sectors are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Strong client relation skills., Ability to work directly with management, Experience working on complex projects are required.
