A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Joint Ventures Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in handling complex real estate joint ventures. This role requires expertise in drafting and negotiating real estate limited liability company (LLC) and partnership agreements. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a high level of academic achievement. While a tax . or familiarity with partnership tax is a plus, it is not mandatory. Admission to the California State Bar is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate joint venture agreements, including LLC and partnership agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on structuring and executing joint ventures and real estate partnerships.
  • Analyze and interpret financial and legal documents related to real estate transactions and partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients to structure real estate investments and develop long-term strategies.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations impacting joint ventures and real estate partnerships.
  • Assist in negotiations between clients, investors, and third parties to ensure agreements meet legal and business needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing continuous legal support throughout the joint venture lifecycle.
  • Stay current on developments in real estate law, tax regulations, and industry trends impacting joint ventures.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience working on real estate joint ventures, with a focus on drafting and negotiating LLC and partnership agreements.
  • Major law firm experience is preferred.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex real estate transactions and joint venture structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • A tax . or familiarity with partnership tax is a plus but not required.
