Conflicts Intake Manager The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Conflicts, Background, and New Business/Lateral Intake Departments within a legal environment. Will be accountable for meeting customer service level agreements, performance metrics, process development/design, ongoing audit of procedures, software management and employee training and development. Will provide regular reporting and review to the client contact. Operational oversight of Conflicts and New Business Intake department specific to assigned responsibilities. Responsible for final review of customer requests for new business intakes. Conducts analysis of all new business requests for the firm and ensures potential conflicts are identified and cleared in a manner that complies with all professional and ethical standards. Review and provide reporting on firm's database for the firm 's management team and attorneys to determine if a client or matter will be a conflict. Direct interface with firm employees, partner's, associates, LAA's, and General Counsel. Ensure accurate records of requests are maintained for immediate audit. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, new employee training and development. Resolve customer related issues. Ability to analyze information for client's review/decision. Conduct due diligence to provide all information necessary for the firm to identify a conflict of interest. Manage third party software/platform relationship. Ensures accurate reporting of records information. Conducts regular audits of records. Enters information into firm Records Management system. Maintain accurate records for client contact. Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. 3-6 years of related Conflicts/Intake experience. Prior experience in a supervisory/management role preferred. Requires 2-3 years of customer service experience. Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. Paralegal Certification preferred. Juris Doctor preferred. Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience and a working knowledge with Conflicts/New Business Intake database tools such as Elite, Intapp and LegalKey. Proficient computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Accurate typing skills. Experience using office equipment (fax machine, phone, copier). Possesses strong leadership skills which are needed to provide direction, guidance, mentoring, and quality assurance to staff. Recognizes area for potential need of process improvements/process design or redesign. Possesses a familiarity with legal terminology and business practices.
