Compliance Analyst
Duties: Assist Compliance Leadership with assessment of compliance policy gaps by soliciting input from department leaders at each of the facilities, conduct research on applicable regulations, participate in drafting of policies, manage policy review and approval process, provide policy education to workforce members. Assist Compliance Leadership with creation of education and training modules; conduct education and training sessions; track attendance and attendee feedback; solicit information on training needs from department leaders at each facility . Investigate HIPAA privacy and data security incidents and Compliance Hotline reports; conduct interviews; document and report findings to Compliance Leadership; at direction of Compliance Leadership, develop and recommend corrective action plans; provide education as part of corrective action; track and report trends. Work with Compliance Leadership to develop compliance auditing and monitoring programs; research applicable regulations; conduct auditing and monitoring reviews; document and report findings to Compliance Leadership; at direction of Compliance Leadership, develop and recommend corrective action plans; conduct workforce member education as part of corrective action; track and report trends. Participate in compliance planning process and assist Compliance Leadership with development of annual compliance plan; assume responsibility for assigned compliance plan goals, which requires Compliance Analyst to complete work plan tasks and achieve milestones according to specified timelines; record progress on assigned work plan activities throughout the year and provide updates to Compliance Leadership and other stakeholders. Assist Compliance Leadership with creation of compliance risk assessment tool; work with department leaders at each of the facilities to identify and prioritize compliance risk areas, and enter information into risk assessment tool; in collaboration with Compliance Leadership, compile data from all facilities to create systemwide compliance risk assessment and identify priorities for inclusion in the compliance plan for the next year.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s or JD Degree is preferred. CHC, CHPC, or CHRC certification, law license is preferred. 1 year experience in health care, compliance, or related field. Experience in healthcare compliance or health law is preferred. Public speaking/presentation; project management; strong oral and written communication skills; record-keeping; data collection and analysis; research; problem-solving; organization; independent, self-directed work style; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Specialized knowledge in the state and federal healthcare regulatory scheme, including HIPAA and HITECH, Stark, Anti-Kickback, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse is preferred.
