This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-5 years of experience in privacy law, particularly with transactional matters involving regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting and negotiation skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on compliance with privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate privacy and data security terms in client agreements.
  • Assist clients in identifying privacy risks and ensuring compliance with evolving legal requirements.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously, delivering timely and effective legal support.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in privacy law and advise clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address complex privacy-related issues.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports, memos, and presentations on privacy and data security matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in privacy law, with a focus on transactional work and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, especially in privacy and data security provisions in contracts.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state where the candidate resides.

Skills:

  • Expertise in data privacy laws, such as GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
