Profile

Human Resources Transactions Services - Labor Relations and MEP Manager The candidate will gain tremendous depth of expertise in all aspects of human capital, including creating sustainable value through people culture and change, designing compensation and retirement strategies, and improving human capital operations. Will assist the team focus on Human Resources due diligence, pre- and post-close planning, and post deal implementation and integration. Assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above. Be involved in the financial management of clients. Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients. Contribute to the development of own and team’s technical acumen. Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges. Assist in the management and delivering of large projects. Train, coach, and supervise staff. Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues. Continue to develop internal relationships and own brand. Review and advise on labor relations and multi-employer pension issues, especially as they relate to a transaction or other strategic corporate decision. Advise clients on a variety of HR legal and tax issues in HR strategy, plan design, compliance, and communications. Address and resolve client issues in order to complete successful transactions, including the smooth assimilation of employees and the implementation of new benefit plans. Identify and analyze complex financial, legal, regulatory, and business issues, and provide appropriate recommendations, often with time sensitivity, including financial modeling and transactional analytics, tax planning, and structuring and strategy formulation. Prepare presentations for audiences on hot topics. Demonstrate clear and concise drafting. Responsible for collaborating and effective teaming.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a J.D. degree. Must have 4+ years of experience and membership of the Bar. Should demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: union negotiations and strategic planning around participation in multi-employer pension plans; and ERISA and executive compensation. Should demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in automation & digitization in a professional services environment including the following areas: innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients; and utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements. Should also demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies. Must demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset and having familiarity with a CRM system is preferred.
