Duties:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and before government agencies, advocating effectively for client interests.
  • Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance to clients, keeping them informed of case developments.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions in favor of clients, achieving efficient case outcomes.
  • Conduct initial investigations to gather pertinent information and evidence for case support.
  • Prepare detailed case reports for clients, ensuring they remain informed on significant case milestones.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legal standards and ethical obligations throughout case handling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • 2+ years of experience in trucking and transportation litigation.
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience within New York.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote legal setting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state of New York.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and court representation.
