The candidate will advise clients on a variety of tax matters. Will work with various departments of the firm on a variety of tax matters and can expect to advise clients on the tax aspects of domestic and international merger and acquisition transactions, private investment fund investments and formations, and transactional and investment planning for public and private companies and tax-exempt organizations. Draft, analyze and negotiate tax aspects of documentation for private investment funds, including limited partnership and limited liability company agreements, offering documents, and other fund documentation. Draft, analyze and negotiate tax aspects of documentation with respect to the public or private mergers and acquisitions, financing, and other transactions. Mentor and review the work of junior associates.

Qualification and Experience The candidate must have 3-5 years of law firm experience working on complex U.S. and international tax law matters. Should also have a proven ability to communicate effectively, be self-driven, and be able to work within a team and independently on various parts of transactions. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the State of Massachusetts, or eligibility to become admitted in that jurisdiction quickly, will also be required.
