Assistant Attorney General - Counsel for Environmental Protection The candidate duties will include: directing and assisting in investigations; drafting pleadings, motions and memoranda from initial filing through post-judgment proceedings; conducting all aspects of discovery; and motions practice, trials, and participating in post-trial proceedings including any appeals. Should have 7+ years of civil litigation experience, 10+ years are preferred. Experience in a full range of discovery and motions practice required. Experience in complex environmental litigation, including toxic torts and actions for recovery of natural resource damages desired. Experience working with underrepresented or ethnically diverse communities or groups preferred. An ability to read, write or speak in another language in addition to English desired. Must have graduated from a law school accredited by the ABA or completed the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program and be licensed to practice law in Washington state. Deadline: March 21, 2019.
