ProfileParalegal The candidate will draft and analyzes a variety of agreement types, including customer, supplier, confidentiality, licensing, employment, subscription, and dealership agreements; provides support to Director of Contracts and Contracts Managers during agreement negotiation and review. Provides support to Contract Management for assigned programs as needed, including attending weekly meetings, tracking Additional Work Requests (AWR’s) and responding to requests for support; assesses for potential risks and keeps Contracts Managers and Director of Contracts apprised as issues arise; formulates proposed solutions and makes recommendations to mitigate risks. Drafts contract, demand, termination and cease and desist letters. Prepares and maintains contract templates and form agreements. Manages and maintains contractual chronologies on all active programs. Reviews contracts and other legal documents to ensure the necessary provisions are included. Assists in management of contract management database; maintains database by adding new agreements as executed and timely alerting Director of Contracts and Contracts Managers of expiring agreements; initiates development and execution of new agreements as directed. Actively participates in weekly Contracts stand-up meetings. Acts as a support role to Contracts Managers when they are out of the office and/or as needed. Conducts due diligence research by reviewing company and subsidiary contracts. Coordinates the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports and evidence necessary to respond to discovery, and overall litigation management. Conducts legal research and analyzes case law as requested. Digests and summarizes business and legal documents; prepares summary for review by Director of Contracts and Contracts Managers. Monitors Boeing website bi-monthly to ensure any code revisions are updated in AX. Performs miscellaneous administrative and paralegal work for Director of Contracts and Contracts Managers. Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have BA/BS degree from accredited college or university with 3+ years experience in the Aerospace industry preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aircraft interior industry experience and/or paralegal or other legal education a plus. Must have ability to mitigate program risk through development of contractual provisions. Should have ability to read and interpret complex contractual and legal documents. Must have strong written communication skills.
