Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on corporate, transactional, and real estate matters.
  • Manage and support corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and business structuring.
  • Handle residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing transactions.
  • Work with closely held and family businesses on various legal issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and independently manage cases.
  • Develop and grow a personal book of business.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with excellent client interface capabilities.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and corporate governance materials.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in corporate and transactional law.
  • Maine bar license (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with senior attorneys.
  • Experience with commercial and residential real estate transactions is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about developing a book of business.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Maine Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission).

Skills:

  • Expertise in corporate and transactional law.
  • Strong experience with real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing.
  • Ability to work with closely held and family businesses.
