Profile

Paralegal Duties: Work cross-functionally with business teams to prepare, draft, review and process contracts (e.g., NDAs, vendor agreements, commercial sales agreements, grant and sponsorship agreements) and other legal documents. Track status of contracts from intake to execution and help manage post-execution compliance. Support the team building a commercial contract management system and achieve mastery over use of the system. Support submission and processing of commercial sponsorship and exhibit requests to the Grant Review Committee. Support various commercial licensing requirements/submissions. Coordinate cross-functional projects and implementing legal initiatives, e.g. creating and maintaining a clause library for Commercial contracts. Collaborate on a variety of compliance and governance matters. Provide administrative support for the Commercial Legal team and Commercial business.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university of college required; paralegal certificate highly preferred. 5+ years’ experience as a corporate paralegal or contracts administrator; in-house experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company a plus. Understanding of contracts. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and a willingness to gain proficiency in company-specific systems and applications. Highly organized with strong recordkeeping skills, attentive to detail and accuracy. Solutions-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving ability. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to develop relationships with internal business partners and outside vendors, and maintain confidentiality. Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks and shift priorities while meeting deadlines and department goals. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to provide support as needed.
