Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a skilled Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with at least four years of substantive experience. The role involves handling complex IP litigation matters, particularly cases related to patent disputes. Candidates with a technical background in electrical engineering and experience with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) are highly desirable.

Duties:

  • Manage and support intellectual property litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, clients, and internal teams to develop litigation strategies.
  • Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property rights and enforcement.
  • Engage in discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
  • Analyze technical and legal issues related to patents and intellectual property disputes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of intellectual property litigation experience.
  • Strong background in patent disputes, including PTAB proceedings.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (preferred but not required).
