Legal Assistant / Paralegal
The candidate will follow set procedures and steps to review accounts; Possible e-filing approved documents on various court portals; Following up on e-filed documents online, downloading filed documents; Docketing relevant information; Communicating with court clerks for status updates via phone; Closing accounts in our system once certain criteria has been met. Prior law firm experience required. Prior banking or logistics experience also a plus. Above-average customer service skills preferred. High school diploma required. Bachelors or Paralegal Certificate preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOP Standard Operating Procedures and procedure manuals required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions required. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form required. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations required.
