Successor In Interest Advocate The candidate will work with potential successor in interest (SII”) claimants who request that determine whether the claimants qualify as confirmed successors in interest under the CFPB. Works closely with potential SII claimants and reviews documentation to evaluate whether the SII claimant qualifies as a confirmed SII in accordance with state and federal law. Handles monitoring of SII requests through MyNet task system. After review of documentation, if additional documentation is needed from a claimant, contacts claimant via telephone or email to communicate the need for missing information; Works closely with all levels of internal personnel throughout the SII intake process. Updates multiple screens in system of record. Communicates with other departments to ensure records are updated to reflect the confirmed SII successor. Works well under pressure with handling competing priorities and meets deadlines. Works to prevent errors or omissions that may result in liability to the firm, the customers and clients. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year College preferred. Must have 2+ years’ experience in mortgage servicing, foreclosure and/or a mortgage related field. Basic understanding of probate, title issues and family law a plus. Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant also a plus. Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Previous experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS and Fiserv preferred.
