Legal Assistant The candidate will perform various paralegal, and secretarial functions in a fast-paced litigation environment. Primary job responsibilities include: Coordinate and facilitate legal filings with various federal and state courts (both electronically and manually); draft correspondence and communicate with individuals of various backgrounds, including attorneys, staff, court-staff, clients, and vendors; perform new client intakes; prepare and format documents, including tables of contents and tables of authorities in Microsoft Word; maintain case deadlines and attorney calendars; perform general administrative and office management functions; answer phones; collect and process mail; set up conference rooms; and coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys. Should possess the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Should desirably have 1-3 years of experience. Must interact nicely with clients and the public by telephone, in written communications, and in-person; excellent attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe; familiar with Clio, and/or similar docketing and calendaring systems, and expertise in court procedures and application of local rules.
