Litigation Paralegal for Judicial Foreclosure Duties : The candidate should review foreclosure referrals and loan documents. Review of responses to complaints. Drafting litigation-related court filings and correspondence. Tracking discovery and other litigation deadlines. Requesting telephonic attendance at hearings. Managing contested file calendar and coordinating hearing dates and times. Requesting and tracking additional fees due to ongoing litigation needs. Frequent communication with court clerks. Coordinate a client representative to attend foreclosure trials. Knowledge of and implementing clientâ€™s designated protocol based on travel of the case. Monitoring and updating of lender / servicer websites to ensure compliance. Addressing escalated issues of foreclosure litigation to clients through their preferred systems of communication.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should preferably have litigation background. Must preferably possess an Associateâ€™s degree in paralegal studies and/or certificate in paralegal studies. Should have 1 year of legal experience. Must be highly confidential to protect the clientâ€™s privacy rights. Must be a team-player, capable of working independently and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines. Should have strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence. Have strong organizational skills with advanced problem solving, ability to multitask and detail oriented skills. Should have ability to read legal terms and conditions and understand their meaning and how it applies to work processes.
