Associate General Counsel The candidate will be responsible for providing generalized legal and transactional support to the General Counsel, the Legal Department, and affiliated entities. Requires that the candidate be competent in various disciplines, including drafting and negotiating contracts, participating in other transactional work, legal research and other operations related legal services. Prior experience on contracting and transactional matters is required; in-house experience and experience in the health care sector is a plus. Assisting the General Counsel, senior staff, and field staff in a variety of legal areas related to the operation of outpatient health care entities and partnerships, with a focus on transactional matters. Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various types of contracts, including employment agreements, partnership agreements, lease agreements, services agreements and purchase and sale agreements. Assisting the General Counsel in acquisitions and other business development activities. Serves as legal advisor to various committees, work groups and task forces as requested. Four year college degree is essential. Must have JD degree and 4+ years’ experience as an Attorney with significant exposure to contracts and transactional work. Must be a team player, a self-starter, able to perform multiple tasks, and have a sense of urgency. Must be a member in good standing of a state Bar.
