Profile

Fundraising And Relationship Manager The candidate will coordinate all aspects of annual fundraising, including donor stewardship, solicitations, cultivation of prospects, long-term strategic planning, and ongoing relationship management. Will grow sponsorships and financial support. Research potential funding sources (individual, corporate, foundations) and grant programs. Accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive and structured fundraising program, including annual, ongoing, and special campaigns. Work with the Communications team to plan 1-2 annual fundraising events in California or Hawaii. Identify prospective donors, cultivates existing donors, and secures new, recurring, and increasing donations through direct mail, electronic solicitations, events and appeals. Regularly engage with current and prospective donors, benefactors, funders and corporate/foundation partners through events, by phone/email, by mail, and in-person. Identifies, develops, and strengthens relationships with key internal and external constituents. Send timely and cordial responses to donor inquiries, requests and gifts. Responsible for writing grant applications, grant reports, cases for support, letters of interest and related materials. Develop, submit and track proposals and grant applications, and ensure compliance with guidelines, deadlines, documentation, and reporting. Track and report accurate data, records, and files on fundraising and grants into appropriate physical and digital folders, database software, and CRM tracking tools. Develop and execute fundraising strategies to reach annual and quarterly goals. Ensure security and confidentiality of all sensitive materials. Participate in community and public policy groups or attend conferences to keep informed of policies affecting affordable housing. Provide support to other duties in the Communications Department as needed. Share in the mission and core values of EAH Housing as a nonprofit housing organization. Attend mandatory meetings and trainings. Actively participates in EAH’s Injury and illness Prevention Plan. Regular and predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Must have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Law/Paralegal, Public Policy, Marketing or Communications. Must have 3 - 5 years of professional experience in support coordination, fundraising, research, writing, and/or relationship management in a nonprofit or smilar organization. Major gifts and planned giving work experience strongly preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and DMV clearance. Access to reliable vehicle and maintain own auto insurance in accordance with EAH minimum requirements is essential. Should have proven experience in fundraising/development with an emphasis on grant writing and major gifts. Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills are required. Should have excellent attention to detail and ability to read and analyze complex documents. Should have the ability to maintain meticulous records. Ability to quickly learn new software applications and programs is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Outlook) and database management software is essential.
