Business Immigration Paralegal The candidate preparation and filings of immigration petitions including H-1B, L-1, TN and other visa applications. Compiles and analyzes case facts, draft correspondence, prepare supporting evidence, draft visa application forms and support letters, and maintain and organize client documentation. Maintains direct contact with multiple attorneys. Demonstrates mastery of firm and client processes. Demonstrates subject matter expertise with procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Independently analyzes case documents and prepares immigration applications for attorney review and filing with the appropriate government agency. Advanced level analysis and identification of legal and procedural issues. Drafts and reviews highly complex legal documents. Develop preliminary case strategy and confirm accuracy with attorney. Adheres to deadlines and prioritizes cases accordingly. Assists in training junior paralegal staff. Reviews work product of junior staff before it is sent for attorney review. Assists junior staff with determining deadlines and prioritizing cases. Conducts extensive communication with clients. Works closely in a team environment. Performs application package review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. May perform PERM review, typically 1 week per month, 1 hour per day. Assists with team or office wide projects (e.g. revision of template documents). Degree from accredited college or university and / or paralegal certification is required. Should have 5+ years of immigration paralegal experience.
