Workers Compensation Claims Specialist The candidate will resolve claims by following established protocols to ensure that claims are handled in the most efficient, effective way while delivering a customer-centric claims service. Must have Juris Doctor and 2+ years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area OR Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area OR Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and 4+ years of experience in the Claims Handling area. Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s). Should have knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment. Must have knowledge of claims handling or insurance legal statutes and procedures. Customer service experience required. Preferred Qualifications: AIC, SCLA and/or CPCU designation; New York and New Jersey workers compensation claims handling experience; Strong communications, analytical, negotiation and customer service skills; Advanced data gathering and problem solving skills; Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment; Strong organization and time management skills; Ability to work in a fast paced environment; Ability to effectively present information to LOB manager, claimants and customers; Microsoft Office experience.
