Transactional / M&A Attorney
The candidate will work closely with well-regarded business law partners in a growing and busy law practice in one of the top legal corridors in the United States (Washington-Baltimore) and will receive a great deal of responsibility, including client contact, with tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth. Should have 5+ years of experience in business/commercial transactions, including complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Structuring and negotiating a variety of transaction types, with an understanding of the tax implications of each type. Experience in private equity, private securities offerings (including for employees and investors), and venture capital experience is a plus. Excellent drafting skills, particularly with respect to correspondence, purchase agreements, and related documents. Team-focused and hard-working professional, with a strong work ethic. Should have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships. Portable practice is a plus. Must be a member of the Maryland Bar (Virginia, ., and other Mid-Atlantic states a plus). Should have an experienced practitioner, with a law firm or other private sector experience.
