Paralegal II DUTIES: The candidate will be performing litigation support activities under the supervision of an Assistant Attorney General, including as drafting documents (e.g., correspondence, pleadings and pre-trial discover). Investigating, gathering, reviewing and organizing documents for production in discovery and/or trial and responding to public records requests. Assisting attorneys prepare for depositions, attending depositions, and preparing deposition summaries. Researching and interviewing potential witnesses. Assisting with trial preparation and, at trial, with management of witnesses, documents, exhibits, and courtroom aids. Composing initial drafts of pleadings. Cite-checking ("Shepardizing") legal research. Reviewing and analyzing case fact patterns to identify legal issues. Preparing trial notebooks, locating expert witnesses and attending hearings. Using computer databases to create, maintain, and track case related matters. Preparing summaries of appeal files and depositions and organizing production and coding of documents. Assisting in preparing records for review.

Qualification and Experience

Must have graduation from an accredited two-year paralegal program plus two years' experience as a paralegal.


Should have graduation from an accredited four-year college and completion of a nine-month paralegal program plus one year experience as a paralegal.


Must have 3+ years' experience as a paralegal.


Should have 2+ years as a Paralegal I.
