Communications and Policy Coordinator, Right on Crime The candidate will help develop the communications and policy strategy for Right on Crime in Oklahoma alongside the State Director in Oklahoma. Develop messaging alongside the State Director of Oklahoma and the Manager of State Initiatives. Develop strategic messaging for social media platforms. Develop press releases and summaries of policy issues. Help develop relationships with lawmakers, stakeholders, and members of the media. Help coordinate radio/TV interviews, press conferences, and other speaking engagements. Help maintain multiple online advertising campaigns, including Facebook, Twitter, etc. Create graphic content to be used on social media. Develop weekly or bi-weekly newsletter for dissemination to public and lawmakers. Should preferably have Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in law, public affairs, communications, criminal justice, or another relevant field. Work experience in social media, communications, or campaigns is a plus. Knowledge of criminal justice reform is desired. Superb writing skills is must.
