ProfileSenior Legal Specialist The candidate will identify and analyze key legal, regulatory and business issues to (1) effectively coordinate business terms with business partners and, (2) with minimal guidance, draft, review and revise provisions in pharmaceutical purchase contracts for attorney review. Will identify business, legal and regulatory issues in commercial pharmaceutical distribution contracts and projects. Draft, review and revise complex commercial pharmaceutical distribution contracts under attorney supervision. Communicate with internal business partners on the requirements for and status of contracts. Undertake contract research projects to identify specified terms or key issues across multiple agreements. Keep Deal Tracker to identify stakeholder with primary responsibility for each agreement at any given time (e.g., legal, business partner, counterparty). Work closely under supervision of responsible attorney, and exercise independent judgment in escalating issues within broadly defined practices and policies.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a two-year Associate's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate with 11+ years of related work experience OR a four-year degree (preferred) with 9+ years of related work experience OR a J.D. degree with 6+ years related work experience. Must have 8 years of paralegal or legal experience. Should also have 5+ years of experience reviewing and revising complex commercial contracts. Experience working in pharmaceutical and healthcare regulatory environment, ideally with pharmaceutical manufacturer agreements is required. Experience working in a healthcare regulatory environment is preferred.
