A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its New York, NY team. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work on a range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a passion for advocating for clients during difficult life transitions. Duties:

• Represent clients in all aspects of divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, prenuptial agreements, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
• Advocate for clients in court, preparing for and attending hearings and trials as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships, offering guidance and compassionate support throughout legal processes.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring their rights are protected during all stages of their case.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in family law, including divorce, custody, and support cases.
• Strong drafting skills and ability to create clear, concise legal documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Compassionate and client-focused, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with care.
• Strong ability to work independently while also seeking support or guidance when necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines.
• A confident, professional demeanor when representing clients in court.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of New York.
