ProfileResearch Project Coordinator Duties: Defines, develops and executes research project planning deliverables including intake and finalized documentation for activation of research studies. Identifies needed resources, roles and responsibilities for assigned research studies. Supports data collection, database oversight, and helps develop metrics for quarterly progress reports and key sponsored activities. Assists in the development, initiation and maintenance of process improvements, such as Pre-Award, Post-Award/sponsored programs and other documentation. Develops and reviews comprehensive documents for research studies. Completes required forms for internal and external routing. Assists researchers and departmental staff with questions and status communications. Collaborates with the Office of Research key personnel and internal/external investigators to help appropriately execute research. Mentors junior and senior investigators and provides critical support to ensure that necessary documents are submitted on time and adhere to sponsor requirements. Analyzes study requirements. Ensures sponsor and study requirements are being met on research studies. Determines impact on existing studies, processes and communicates accordingly to internal and external (sponsors) stakeholders. Documents research study deliverables. Tracks and communicates to relevant personnel. May be involved in preparation of reports and deliverables ensuring completion per specified deadlines. As needed prepares presentations on findings to inform and suggests recommendations.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in a research-related role requiring strong demonstrated attention to detail and ability to adhere to policies and procedures. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Experience in a role requiring effective organizational skills; effective follow-through, and commitment to excellence, effective professional communication skills; Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner as well as strong interpersonal skills: Ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information, communicate compliance requirements and handle complex issues. Experience in an Office of Sponsored Research capacity. Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment. Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications. Ability to travel within the Intermountain system and work from different locations as assigned. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a contracts, science, clinical, business, compliance, or research related area. Experience in clinical research setting, including relevant study management experience. Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting. Experience in organizing and prioritizing multiple projects, and to meet deadlines. Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, and scheduling applications. Experience with contract development or management. Experience with legal terms and conditions, contract law, or legal writing. Demonstrated ability to explain contract provisions and concepts to physicians, administrators, and others in absence of Manager.
