ProfileSteve Fredrickson Fellowship, Summer 2018 The Fellowship funds a summer internship for a law student who has demonstrated commitment to redressing the housing and/or consumer rights of the poor. The Fellow will spend 10 weeks this summer working on important and exciting advocacy work in the field of housing or other consumer issues. Work with attorneys on ongoing cases and projects. The Fellowship is open to any law student who will have completed at least the first year of law school as of June, 2018. Must have strong communication, research and analytical skills, including excellent writing ability; a demonstrated commitment to social justice advocacy, with specific interest in work that addresses the fulfillment of basic human needs; and cultural competence and appreciation for diversity and inclusion, racial equity and access to justice. Note: The Fellowship stipend is $6000. Application Deadline: February 1, 2018.
Send cover letter explaining how interest and aspiration carries out the intent and goals of the Fellowship and background that demonstrates the relevant qualifications. Include resume, writing sample and 1+ personal reference related to qualifications.
