Contracts Negotiator
The candidate will serve as a contracts negotiator and administrator to support the growing Antisubmarine Warfare market segment of the Rotary and Mission Systems C6ISR line of business. The candidate will support a new production program and growth opportunities within related program areas, in addition to providing contracts support to other program areas within the ASW portfolio. Preparing contracts work product such as proposals, contracts, terms and conditions, and modification documents. Ensure that contracts are negotiated and administered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Lockheed Martin policies and procedures. Reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal and revisions to contracts. Developing and executing negotiation strategies. Preparing and presenting briefings to management and customers. Develop productive working relationships with internal and external customers.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have an appropriate degree from an accredited college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of or the ability to obtain at least a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance. At least 2 years of contracting experience including. Knowledge and experience with various aspects of the federal contract life cycle including proposals, administration throughout performance, and contract close-out. Knowledge of and comfort working with various contract types. U.S. citizenship is wanted. Experience with U.S. Government procurement regulations (i.e., FAR and DFARS). Ability to understand core financial and business concepts. Willingness to travel as needed. An Advanced educational degree, such as JD or MBA is desired. Professional certifications, such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager. Possession of or the ability to obtain a U.S. Government TOP SECRET clearance. Knowledge of and comfort working with FFP and IDIQ contract types. Should have an ability to influence positive business outcomes with fact, reason, and the ability to convey the company’s positions through exceptional oral and written communication skills.
