Min 5 yrs required
Legal Assistant Duties: Working closely with General Counsel and the legal department to provide administrative support. Responsible for the maintenance and retention of official corporate records and filing systems; Assistance with company filings; Assist with drafting compliance documents; Assists the Corporate Secretary in the co-ordination and planning of the annual meeting of stockholders; Assist Corporate Secretary with preparation for board meetings; Assistance with board and committee meeting logistics including preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and notifications; Provide confidential secretarial functions to the General Counsel/Corporate Secretary, CEO, and Board of Directors; Supports the Corporate Secretary in board governance matters; Supports the General Counsel in all corporate governance matters; Liaising with auditors to document compliance; Performing all diary functions for contracts and other departmental matters; All calendar scheduling and maintenance for general Counsel; All travel arrangements for General Counsel; Transcription of documents from voice dictation to draft; and Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Qualified to Bachelor’s Degree Level or equivalent; 5 years’ experience in a paralegal or corporate support position; Advanced telephone and computer skills; and Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite. Proven track record of successful analytical and organizational skills; Capable of independent decision-making and prioritization; Must be able to work in a capacity with strict privacy and confidentiality requirements both inside and outside the organization; Highly motivated and a strategic thinker; Knowledge and understanding of Robert’s Rules of Order; Strong follow up skills; IT skills to include Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Excel; Interpersonal communication skills; Excellent grammar; Information gathering and monitoring skills; Excellent writing and editing skills; Issue identification and problem solving skills; Judgment and decision-making ability; Initiative and innovative; Discretion; and Attention to detail and accuracy.
