Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Emerging Companies Attorney to join its growing and well-regarded Venture Capital (VC) and emerging companies practice. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience advising VC-backed and other emerging companies, with a focus on corporate structuring, formation, and financing. Attorneys will work on sophisticated matters for innovative companies, founders, and investors in a collaborative, boutique firm environment.

Duties:

  • Counsel and advise VC-backed and emerging companies on various legal matters throughout the company lifecycle, including structuring, formation, and venture capital financing.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on corporate governance, growth strategies, and exit planning.
  • Manage complex transactional matters, including equity financings, M&A transactions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s corporate, intellectual property, tax, and employment practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
  • Assist in business development efforts to grow the firm’s practice in the emerging companies and VC sector.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on advising emerging companies, venture capital, and startup operations.
  • Proven experience in venture capital financing, structuring, and advising on the growth of emerging companies.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and take on significant responsibility.
  • Strong business judgment, communication skills, and client management experience.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal counsel to high-growth companies and investors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with a team.
  • Experience with business development and managing client relationships is preferred.

Education:

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in at least one . jurisdiction.
