Duties

  • Advise clients on compliance with . import and export control laws, including customs valuation and tariff classifications.
  • Oversee corporate transactions that involve controlled technologies and international trade laws.

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to ensure adherence to current trade regulations.

  • Provide strategic guidance on free trade agreements, trade remedy duties, and related programs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate transactions, particularly involving international trade.
  • Proven knowledge in areas such as USMCA/NAFTA, countervailing duties (AD/CVD), and compliance with Section 301.
  • Admission to the Bar and active good standing in Michigan or the Washington, . area.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
