Associate In-House Counsel The candidate will join a small law department allowing continuous opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of areas of law. Duties will include performing general corporate work such as: contracts; vendor supplier relationships; government & institutional contracts; corporate governance; commercial leases; real estate management; management of external counsel; general litigation support; regulatory matters; compliance; audit; employment law; restrictive covenants; company policies; mergers and acquisitions; intellectual property, data protection and privacy; legal and compliance training; and other in-house legal tasks as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have law degree with admission to a state Bar in the USA; must obtain Limited In-House Corporate Counsel License in Pennsylvania if not admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. Must have experience and judgment necessary to provide practical legal advice and guidance; exercise, plan and accomplish goals, and successfully manage projects. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong business and financial acumen as well as superior analytical and writing skills. Ability to respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, internal customers, external consumers and business community is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Access preferred. Must have ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments in a high paced office environment.
