Senior Associate General Counsel - Digital #25302 Add to Bookmarks Share Columbus, OH Functional Group Legal Date Active Oct 1, 2018 8:10:19 PM Job Title Senior Associate General Counsel - Digital Requisition Number 25302 Description Job Description: Responsible for providing legal advice and direction for online, mobile, and digital legal matters, electronic disclosure and contracting, and other provision of electronic banking services and products. Assist business units and vendor management with the review and negotiation of IT contracts related to digital initiatives. Provide interpretation and application of laws, regulations and other regulatory guidance and best practices. Assist with drafting and implementing of policies and procedures for compliance related to online and mobile specific laws and regulations. Provide legal advice and direction in connection with merging and decommissioning of websites as a result of mergers and acquisitions. Review business requirements documents, wireframes and customer facing content and training materials for best practices and compliance with laws and regulations applicable to online, mobile and other electronic provision of financial products and services. Draft consumer facing agreements and disclosures and review communications related to changes in terms. Review press releases, e-mail solicitations and other marketing materials associated with online, mobile and other electronic products and services. Assist other members of the Legal Department in staying current with legal issues and developments related to the digital landscape. Participate in industry working groups focused on digital channel and issues. Assist with issues pertaining to Intellectual Property and other third party rights (e.g., publicity rights). Assist with other technology and digital initiatives as needed (e.g. digital signatures and records). Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and JD required. 7 + years' experience in corporate legal department or law firm in practice areas described above. Must have working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations and regulatory interpretations/guidance related to these specific practice areas. Licensed to practice in Ohio or eligible to become licensed in Ohio. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize and work in a fast- paced environment. Demonstrated ability to negotiate time lines, delivery dates and resolve conflict. Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think outside of the box.
