Job Overview

Booking Holdings is looking for an experienced litigator to fill a new role supporting company-wide litigation and related areas including IP, employment and consumer law. Joining the Booking Holdings legal team is a unique opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the Booking Holdings senior management team as well as lawyers around the globe in our subsidiary brands.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Actively manage litigations involving Booking Holdings (BHI) and/or multiple brand subsidiaries

  • Work with the legal operations and procurement teams to select panel law firms and manage company-wide (holding company and its subsidiaries) law firm spend and relationships

  • Develop standards and controls for our subsidiary brands in litigation management and related areas, particularly in the North American market, including: 

    • Intellectual property (trademark, copyright, patent)

    • Employment law

    • Consumer law

    • Other regulatory matters

Qualifications

  • Exceptional legal education and top law firm credentials 

  • 5-10 years litigation experience as a qualified attorney

  • In-house experience, particularly in the travel or consumer services space, a plus

  • Extensive hands on litigation experience is required; focus on consumer/regulatory, intellectual property and employment law is a plus 

  • Strong writing and editing skills and solid organizational skills

  • Assertive, intellectually curious and self starter personality 

  • Ability to work well with colleagues around the world 

  • 20% travel may be required post-pandemic
