A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its expanding Privacy Litigation team in Park City, UT. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex privacy-related litigation matters, collaborating with a dynamic and experienced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in privacy issues, and a passion for developing expertise in a rapidly evolving area of law. Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of privacy litigation cases, from initial research to trial preparation.
  • Draft and review key legal documents, including complaints, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, particularly regarding privacy law and related regulations at federal, state, and international levels.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective case strategies.
  • Assist in preparing for trials, including drafting motions and preparing witnesses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of privacy law trends, rulings, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice through teamwork, mentorship, and client interaction.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on privacy-related matters.
  • Proven experience in managing case elements such as drafting motions, and briefs, and conducting discovery.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to handle complex subject matter and manage competing priorities.
  • Active and valid bar membership in the jurisdiction.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth understanding of privacy laws at the federal, state, and international levels.
  • Ability to develop case strategies and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
