Paralegal
Responsibilities: Write basic “draft” legal memos for modification and/or approval of attorneys. Prepare documents to respond to subpoenas and garnishments. Manage legal document files, including providing subject matter expertise and administration of legal document management system. Track legal compliance data and activities and manage to compliance plan Develop and manage complex project databases and links to record repositories Process invoices including appropriate coding and approval routing Track expenses and prepare expense reports (including currency conversion). Build and maintain multiple templates, tracking sheets, meeting minutes, and reports. Schedule appointments/meetings and keep calendars current. Retrieve legal and land record documents. Institute and manage litigation hold email processes. Manage legal budget tracking and reporting. Manage attorney CLE and Bar renewals. Provide legal support for contract management. Provide office management and support.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. Paralegal certificate preferred. 5 years of paralegal experience in law firm, public agency or corporate legal department is required. Excellent legal research, writing, editing, oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills is required. Strong organizational and document management skills and the ability to work independently is required. Strong ability to work with conflicting priorities and meet deadlines is required. Proficiency with various internet browser software, MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required. Proficiency with legal document management software is required. Proficiency with database software, enterprise software, cloud applications, and software as a service preferred. Experience with real estate transactions and general requirements of county-document recording preferred. Strong technical abilities and familiarity with corporate compliance and accounting systems preferred.
