Legal Assistant The candidate will join a law firm practicing primarily in workers' compensation and social security disability. Will manage complex, time-limited law practice projects. Prepare case summaries from collected medical records, and communicate strategies to the lead attorney. Compose draft pleadings, and undertake case filing, including e-filing. Coordinate hearings, depositions, and appointments. Regularly update case statuses to clients by email, telephone, and in-person conferences. Accurately and speedily transcribe dictation, including transcription of dictated trial and appellate briefs. Reconcile law firm accounts. Market the firm's services by e-mail and on social media platforms. Should preferably have an Associate's degree in Paralegal coursework, and 3+ years of legal assistant or paralegal experience in a busy law office.
