The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate is strongly preferred. Should have 10+ years related professional experience. A working knowledge of state laws applying to health and welfare plans, such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, the Internal Revenue Code, and state benefit mandates. Currently licensed to practice law. Ability to travel as business demands. Should take a consultative approach and pride yourself on your ability to collaborate. Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts in employee benefits law. Seek to continuously improve skills and knowledge by attending educational conferences and events.
