Assistant Attorney General The candidate will investigate and draft opinions on FOIA and OMA, mediates disputes between members of the public and public bodies, helps design and provide training relating to FOIA or OMA, and assists the Public Access Counselor with other assigned tasks. Must possess excellent legal research and writing skills, and must be able to communicate effectively with citizens, government officials and members of the media. Should preferably have have experience with the Freedom of Information Act, the Open Meetings Act or media-related issues. Must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application.
