Corporate Paralegal
The candidate will exposure to a wide variety of contract activities. Reporting to an attorney, you will strengthen and develop your business knowledge and expertise by being a part of a fast-growing company that delivers technology solutions to government and industry customers. Preferred candidates will have a strong background in contract administration; proposal administration; a willingness to learn; be a team player, and be able to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced small technology business. Prepare electronic files related to contracts and all related documents. Develop a deep understanding of contract documents, related action item due dates, and specific policies and procedures. Ensure contract deliverables are completed accurately, correctly, and delivered on time. Participate in kick-off meetings to communicate necessary contract requirements to Technical Team through the setup of deliverable calendars, contract briefs, requirements, and other necessary and required information. Assist with contract related purchases, ensure purchases are in compliance with contract requirements and Numerica policies, and add contractor acquired property to the government property inventory. Prepare form documents customarily used in Numerica’s business operations. Act as the point of contact [LL1] with internal and external customers on contract administrative matters such as negotiations, closeouts, and government property audits or events. Participate in agreement review, negotiation, and modification activities. Input and maintain project information in the contract management and accounting systems. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up billing and project files, as well as labor categories, and work breakdown structures. Participate in the closeout of contracts and provide information on the status of closeout as necessary. Support finance in external audits and reviews by preparing reports or other requested documentation. Monitor subcontracts by reviewing invoices, and ensuring their compliance with agreements and regulations. Be a team player on special projects as needed. Paralegal degree are required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong analytical abilities, with a high detail orientation and expectation for quality. Para-legal experience preferred. Operate well in a highly regulated business environment. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment are required. Commitment to excellence, and continuous improvement are required. Experience in a legal-related field are required. Experience in project management are required. Experience in federal government contracts, data requirements and delivery forms are required. Knowledge of federal procurement processes and practices, including FAR and DFARS are required. Bachelor’s Degree are required.
