Corporate Paralegal
The candidate will prepare and file documents effecting incorporation and qualification. Maintain database used by Legal, Tax, Finance, Accounting and Risk Management Departments. This database provides the viewer with the pertinent corporate information for WJH LLC and each of its subsidiaries and affiliates. Filing necessary documentation as required in each state to obtain necessary licensure required to do business in each state. Gathering, inputting and overseeing data gathered from multiple business divisions. Prepare corporate resolutions, amendments, dissolutions, formations and other required documentation for Regional Counsel. Provide Regional Counsel with administrative support, including planning, CLE monitoring, opening and sorting mail, travel schedules and expense reporting. Prepare agendas and coordinate preparation of materials for meetings. Maintain General Contracting and Real Estate Broker licensing database, including requirements for renewal and continuing education. Work with Lot Acquisition Department to review outside counsel work and legal invoicing. Prepare company responses to Better Business Bureau inquiries. Drafting purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents. Maintain and input data into a commercial lease schedule database and track and calendar critical dates related to such leases. Paralegal Certification are required. Legal knowledge of business law, including entity formation and management are required. Experience utilizing Legal Tracking/Serengeti invoicing software are essential. Strong professional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong organization and superior attention to details are essential. Results oriented, accurate and multi-tasking ability are required. Works with a sense of urgency and displays a high level of initiative are required. Ability to solve problems are required. Understands the importance of discretion and diplomacy are required. Experience handling confidential information and documents are required. 5 years’ in-house legal experience as a corporate paralegal in the U.S., including substantial experience at a senior level in a corporate legal department of a large U.S. based corporation are required.
