Territory Associate Relations Manager RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for reducing internal and external risk through effective intervention, development and execution of associate relations policies and processes. Reports to the Division Director of Associate Relations. Provides direction to business unit leaders on risk factors in labor relations, employment trends and associate relations needs to ensure creation and maintenance of a positive associate relations environment. Provides guidance to business unit leaders on the interpretation and consistent application of Company policies, programs and initiatives. Analyzes company data, to identify AR activity/trends in order to minimize internal and external risk. Monitor and first responder to all labor relations activity in the territory with guidance and/or direction from the Store Support Center (SSC) â€“ Labor Relations team. Provides direction to business unit leaders on procedures for handling potential unionizing efforts and NLRB actions and developing preventative strategies and education on union avoidance. Assess, intervene and develop action plans in at risk locations to ensure fair and consistent application of company policies. . Recommend â€“ Assess, intervene and develop action plans in at risk locations to ensure fair and consistent application of company policies. Provides support to SSC in response to and/or resolution of EEOC, DOL, and other labor and employment claims; as well as respond to workplace violence matters. Lead complex and high risk investigations that drive consistency, fairness and accountability at all levels. First responder and resource to assist Medical Health Management, Legal, and Asset Protection on investigations and associate relations issues. Conducts training for management on legal and AR/labor relations matters, develops customized training where appropriate in partnership with Learning Development. Works with Associate Relations team and/or Legal to address any HR Compliance issues i.e. I-9 compliance, compensation reviews, and other compliance issues and third party site visits.
Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a bachelorâ€™s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related. 6 years' of Relevant Work Experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to business units as needed. Preferred Qualifications: PHR or SPHR or equivalent certification. Advanced degree in law, employee relations, or human resources. Multi-site (50-plus locations) and experience with 10,000 associates. 8 years experience in employment law, employee relations or human resources is preferred. Ensures Superior Service.
