Temporary Trademark Paralegal The candidate will report to two lawyers with responsibility for Global trademark portfolio including 1000+ US and 7500+ foreign applications and registrations to track, monitor and maintain. Will manage and maintain Trademark database - data entry and tracking. (Note: this position requires substantive data entry and docketing). Generate weekly docket reports - review and acting upon same. Remind supervising attorneys of pertinent deadlines. Preparing, filing and docketing statement of use, 8&15, extension and renewal forms. Track and instruct renewals for U.S. and foreign trademark portfolios. Manage and track procedures for legalization of documents for filing in foreign countries (with a good understanding of notarization and legalization of documents). Daily interaction with global network of trademark agents managing clientsâ€™ foreign portfolios. Interaction with clients as requested by supervising attorneys. Strong understanding of USPTO trademark application and registration process, statement of use procedures, renewal requirements, docketing due dates for applications and registrations is essential. Should have Trademark Management Database â€“ Preferably CPI Trademark Management System, MS Word and Excel. Strong computer skill is essential. â€“ USPTO online filings required, proficiency with pdfâ€™s, scanning devices, etc. Excellent written and oral communication skill is essential. Notary Public license is required. Should have Bachelorâ€™s Degree and 5+ years of international and domestic trademark portfolio management in either a law firm or in-house setting.
