Trademark Paralegal The candidate will assist clients in obtaining, maintaining and protecting trademark, copyright and related intellectual property rights. Will have significant responsibility for management of client trademark portfolios, ranging from small domestic portfolios to complex international portfolios. Will communicate with clients directly regarding prosecution issues, and act as a liaison between attorneys and clients. Manage files relating to domestic and international trademark matters and manage docket to ensure all deadlines are met. Responsibilities include preparing and electronically filing US trademark applications, renewals, assignments and other prosecution documents; corresponding with foreign counsel regarding foreign trademark applications, registrations and recordals; and performing online research such as trademark clearance searches; and assisting with intellectual property due diligence. Must have formal paralegal training, preferably a 4-year degree program. Should have 10+ years of trademark paralegal experience. Copyright experience and/or TTAB experience is a plus. Must have excellent writing skills and be conversant and comfortable with the laws that govern trademarks and be able to conduct legal research utilizing on-line tools such as the USPTO website, international databases and Saegis. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook is required, as is experience working with trademark docketing systems is required.

Gray Plant Moody was a great place to work, but I wish there was less of the tense feelings between the main office and smaller offices. There should be more functions for all employers to get to be as one.

Pros : The people working here are great. I felt like part of a team here and everyone was so welcoming. It was great to work with people with such a passion for what they do.
Cons : People in other offices were unfamiliar with each other and generally avoided each other at meetings. It made us feel like we were all on different teams.
